Remodeling Magazine considers a minor kitchen remodel to include replacing cabinet fronts, counter tops and appliances. According to a recent study in the southeast region of the U.S., a minor kitchen remodel may cost on the average approximately $17,500. Upon resale it is estimated the owner will recoup 74.5% of that value.

But all remodeling decisions should not be made solely on a cost/recoup analysis. After all, you live there! Why live with old worn-out and out-dated kitchen cabinets?
